Some people are excited to see Benicio del Toro, while others are talking about the newest “Narnia” character. Personally, I’m more curious to see what Catherine Hardwicke and her “Twilight” team do with Taylor Lautner, an actor who could someday join Lon Chaney and Jason Bateman as the greatest werewolves of all time.
Our interview with Lautner just went live, so be sure to read up on his breakdown of Jacob Black, his new driving skills, and an eagerness to get half-naked. As any Twilighter would expect, the 16-year-old star is eager to film the proposed sequels that would greatly expand his role by putting him into some hairy situations.
“The coolest thing about being a werewolf in the second film, if that were to happen, is to be shirtless; that would be pretty fun,” he laughed, thinking about his Portland surroundings. “It would definitely be chilly.”
“[Jacob's angry werewolf side] is not like me in real life; I’m like Jacob’s Native American side,” he explained. “I’m very friendly, outgoing, energetic and easy to talk to. But playing the werewolf side, where he’s holding all this anger and stuff inside him, that’d be very different for me. I love to challenge myself as an actor.”
Although some Twilighters have voiced concerns that Lautner isn’t big enough to portray Jacob in the other books, the actor promises he’ll be hitting the gym as soon as “New Moon” gets the green light.
“In the first one, he’s just regular and lanky and not crazy,” a determined Lautner explained. “But I’m sure after this one, I will be working out, eating my protein, and staying away from the ice cream and the sugar.”
As for the look of the transformed werewolves, he said: “I’ve been curious about that; I’m sure I’ll hear about it before I leave, but I haven’t heard anything yet…I’m curious to see what that’s going to look like.”
Alright, Twilighters, now that you’ve heard Taylor talk about his character, this week’s Twilight Tuesday is an obvious one: Are you Team Edward, Team Jacob, or Team Switzerland?
Edward deserves Bella, and he's who she chose. So TeamEdward for me!
Although Taylor as Jacob has grown on me, I'm team EDWARD all the way.
While Bella cares for both men in her life, I think it's Edward who truly speaks her "Love Language". Their relationship represents the purest form of selflessness and love, with all of the intense passion and intimacy as the whipped topping.
It's essentially a man vs. boy argument. Edward has the maturity to put Bella's needs before his own and act in her best interests. While Jacob, at 16, is still learning about relationships and can be somewhat manipulative. I see him more as Bella's "buddy".
In this love triangle, I feel Bella will ultimately chose Edward as her singular soulmate.
However I'm Team Movie Jacob hahaha
Sorry, but there's just no competition. Besides, Jacob has done some pretty nasty things throughout the book (especially in Eclipse) and they just made me dislike his character.
I do symphathize tho for Jacob...he needs to find someone of his own. Ive often wondered if he DID imprint on Bella, but just was very good at hiding it from Edward. Still not too sure on that one...I guess we'll have to wait till Breaking Dawn!

Its obvious who Bella is going to end up with (although her and Jacobs dialogue at the end of Eclipse made me kind of wish Edward had never came back-dont hate me!)
But i think i prefer Jacob just because i live in Scotland and i could use a space heater ;)

That said, I do like Jacob a lot and I don't want anything less than a happy ending for him but ... when it comes down to it - I'd love to take a bite. And not from the boy of canine descent (even though he's great too) Why settle for good if you can have the best?

If this is about the romance side however, I'm on Team Edward. I wish Jake a wonderful life with whoever he imprints on (OMC I hope he imprints!), but Bella and Edward can't live without each other.
