The big day is quickly approaching for the most irreverent awards show in Hollywood, and now we have names for the two groups that will rock the faces off the assembled celebrity elite. Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls will take the stage for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, airing live Sunday, June 1.

The news follows on the heels of last week’s unveiling of nominations that firmly put the Michael Cera/Jonah Hill teen comedy “Superbad” in the lead with a whopping five nods.
