Recently, the news broke that Jonah Hill won’t be rolling out in “Transformers 2” after all. It’s sad, sad news for movie fans hoping the sequel would get a legitimate comedic-sidekick injection rather than, say, filling the role with Dax Shepard.
According to series producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the movie has had to move on without the “Superbad” star – but we can still expect some big announcements over the next several weeks.
“No, no,” he said of Hill’s reported casting. “Ultimately, we’ll have a couple casting surprises for everybody soon.”
Director Michael Bay and returning stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Jon Voight are reportedly on board to return, and Bonaventura confirmed plans to start shooting the movie in Philadelphia and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania next month.
“Michael’s got some really great stuff planned,” he added.
The super-producer, who we caught up with this week on the Downey, CA set of his equally massive blockbuster franchise “G.I. Joe,” also shot down rumors that Bay would finally create a long-rumored character. “A transforming aircraft carrier?” Bonaventura repeated, denying its existence. “We saw a Japanese film that had something like that, so maybe that’s where that comes from.”
“We never really talked about that, practically speaking,” he said of the character who might or might not have been known as Broadside, and who Bay has said was simply too expensive to create. “There was some Japanese animated movie we saw where that occurred, and we were like ‘Wow! Look at that thing!’”

On the robot side of things, I would love to see the Constructicons and the Dinobots! Also, if the first movie taught the producers one thing...it's that the fans want their beloved character's original voice actors! Bring in Gregg Berger to reprise his role as Grimlock, and Michael Bell to voice both Swoop and Scrapper.
I would hate to see a good movie turned into a crappy one, ala Spider-Man 3, and X3 (which I shall forever refer to as "The Murder and ~*?% of Cyclops and Phoenix"), by cramming TOO MUCH into one film, reducing it to a mindless action-fest!

I would absolutely LOVE to see Prowl (Pontiac G8?), Tracks (new ZR-1?) and maybe Cliffjumper (Astra GTS rally car?) in the sequel. Aerialbots (or at least Jetfire) would be very cool.
On the Decepticon side, did anyone notice Ravage was absent from the first movie? I think some 'commando bike' would be perfect for him. Soundwave is a pretty crucial character too (I don't know why Blockade was chosen to be the helicopter instead of Soundwave for the original). Laserbeak would be a natural choice for an unmanned aircraft reconnaissance vehicle. And of course more jets like Skywarp and Thundercracker.
Autobots - RC(for the chicks) think she would interact well w/ Megan Fox, umm Hotrod and have him turn into Rodimus Prime in the 3rd one somehow..BLURR as a lambo, aston martin or an Audi R8(has to be blue tho), jetfire of course, maaaybe Ultra Magnus.
at first I was excited when I read that the twins (Sunstreaker and Sideswipe) were going to be in the film, but then I read that they were going to be ICE CREAM TRUCKS?!?!?!?!
