Like Edward Cullen eyeballing a deer in the middle of the woods, you can be forgiven if you drool a bit while looking at the first official “Twilight” poster. It’s an MTV exclusive, it’s a thing of beauty, and it was photographed by 18-year-old wunderkind Joey Lawrence.
You can read our interview with Joey over on the MTV Movies page, but here’s an extra-juicy bit of news: Lawrence has signed on to shoot all the posters for “Twilight.” When I was on the set recently, virtually everyone I spoke with brought up plans for sequels, and if those dreams come true Joey would likely return as well. “Yeah,” he told us recently, swinging by our Santa Monica offices. “I’ll be doing all the next movies.”
Lawrence knew that the first poster had to focus on the key relationship of Edward and Bella, and said he’d like to keep the subsequent images focused on the characters and their couplings.
“I think they’ll probably be keeping the mood pretty dark and edgy still,” he said of his plan. “I’ve read the first script, and I know what happens in the next books just from talking to the actors, so the mood might change a little bit, but the style will stay the same.”
Lawrence also revealed that he’s been meeting with “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke, so that they can synchronize their overall plan.
“I think it’s going to be interesting with her,” insisted Lawrence, who hopes to become a director himself someday. “When I read the script, I realized this is not her kind of movie. Because she’s done like ‘Lords of Dogtown’ and ‘Thirteen,’ so when I read the script I was kind of like, ‘That’s a vampire movie,’ but then to find out that she was doing something with it, I think it’s going to be different than just a normal kind of teenage love story. I think it might be interesting to see.”

i love the lighting its beautiful and the obvious diffrence in their skin tones and the brightness of kristins hair looks GREAT
i never really imagened a movie poster but if i had i would have hoped it could be like this
the only thing i would have changed would have been to make the lighting on her hand a little brighter
not so much that it distracts from their faces but enough so that it matches the lighting of her face a little more
making it look more connected like its from the same person.
but just GREAT job, REALLY

this poster is great...
The poster is awesome too. Some of my classmates or printing this and pasting the pics all over their bedroom walls.
But I don't think Edward looks so great in that angle..... And Bella looks to pretty, Edward is surpose to take your breath away, and he did not do that on this pic. (But Rob usualy do that to me(:) And Edward should look colder, cause he looks to warm.... But I really like it.... Cant wait for the film!!!!:)

You should've hired a photographer that read the books.
I think that Bella's expression is GOLD, how she believes she can not live without Edward.Although she did live happier and more healthier as soon as Jacob showed her how life can be lived. Jacob is her personal sunshine.
But now I am going to shut up because Twilight is about how Bella is in supposed Love with Edward.
LOVE THE POSTER! Keep it up! Rob Pattison is PERFECT for Edward. Just how I imagined!

Something about edward creeps me out, but i do like how he seems destracted, because in the book he obviously has alot on his mind.
As for Bella, her hair is not how i imagined it. It looks like she spent to much time on it. I always imagined it staight, but with volume. Ireally like how her face seems to glow, though.
My favorite part of the poster is probably the phrase.
1. it looks a bit photoshopped, obviously by someone very good at photoshopping but still...
2. there was a bit to much airbrushing for Bella's face... it makes her look like a barbie doll
3. while i totally love Edwards pose (it really makes him seem protective!) i think that Bella should be looking at Edward... i just feel that it would show there relationship better.
4. and lastly i think that the little "If you can live forever what do you live for." should be bigger
OK so that was a little critical... but i really do love the poster on the whole!! I'm totally going to get one!!!

It shows the forbidden but ever lasting love they have for eachother. Kristen/Bella looks immaculate/innocent and Rob/Edward really does look gorgeous with his golden eyes. It simply conveys their love perfectly as he bends over to kiss her. Great job joey !
i was so...on edge when Bella and Edward were together...so much....chemistry.....its so amazing! i was a little upset about Robert pattison playing Edward...but now im not so worried...I hope he gets the right passion that those two have...this poster is exactly how i imagined everything!!!! i can't wait for this movie to come out and you can expect to see me first in line @ the box office!LOLZ (also can't wait till breaking dawn comes out!!)
