‘High School Musical 3’ Gets Its First Poster…Yippie!

Well, you can’t say the cast isn’t enthusiastic about the start of production for the first big-screen version of the blockbuster “High School Musical” franchise.

Shooting is soon to begin on the third flick that finds high school seniors Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) facing the depressing prospect of attending different colleges. Co-starring Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and MOnique Coleman, much dancing will ensue. “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” is scheduled to hit theaters on October 24, 2008.

I'm not sure if the diplomas are digitally added in but it looks like they might be. If you look closely at Ashley Tisdale's hand it looks like she is supposed to be grasping her diploma like the others are but yet her hand is empty. Mistake perhaps? :) Or maybe she doesn't graduate? haha

Sure I'd love my highschool to randomely burst into song, but isn't a third instalment kind of pushing their luck? This aint no Indiana Jones...

luck. It's not gonna be a big hit =S.
And, I think it would've been a better idea
if they aired it in Disney Channel
instead of the theatres.

In theaters?? Really? Geez the movie buisness sure is going downhill. The sad thing is all the little kids will be lining up to see it. I feel bad that they have to watch this garbage instead of a quality movie. Oh and they really tried comparing this to Grease??? NO WAY, not even close. I agree with Isabel 100%. They have no chance of even coming close to either Twilight or Harry Potter. Fat chance of that happening...

I agree with Isabel. If everyone in the world was a fan of HSM, Twilight, AND Harry Potter, if given the choice to watch only TWO, I think most would pick Twilight and Harry Potter. They should've gone for a later release date, but DEFINITELY not so close to two for-sure blockbusters.

At least, that's my opinion.

ok i will admit that i do know all of the words and dance moves to pretty much every single song in hsm1. hsm2 was ok. and hsm3 will probly be just as good as 2 (maybe :/ ) but to put it in theaters... are u serious?? who seriously(except for girls under 10 years old) is gonna pay money to see this in the theater?? exspecially when everyone will be saving there money to see TWILIGHT and HARRY POTTER?? this probly will do really well just cause of the HUGE fanbase but its not worth spending 10 dollars on.

i also just want to mention how AMAZING THE TWILIGHT FANS ARE!!!!!! i LOOVEEEE twilightt and it is great to see how much support the movie is getting!! see u all at the movies on 12~12~08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um, Isabel? HSM3 is NEVER going to beat Harry Potter 7, as lame as it is, and no way in HELL would it EVER beat Twilight. Not even in an alternative universe.
Disney is just pushing their luck. Only crazed ten year old Zac Efron fans would go to the movie, but then, maybe ten year olds have better taste now.

ok. the first one was cute. the second one was bad, now the third one's coming out in theatres, and the fourth one probably will too. there's no way disney's gonna get away with making four movies about high school kids who randomly burst into song. I'm gonna watch Twilight, it at the VERY LEAST has a point to it. I love disney, but this is insane.

high school musical........ wow...... the first one was OK, the second one was stupid, and this one is going to be idiot, AND stupid. twilight is better and is going to push it down to teh bottom of the charts.... i agree w/ twilight craver that they should switch the dates around. the only people that will want to go to hsm3 is little kids and they dont have cars or money to go so there will be less of a profit coming in hsm3, and when twilight comes, the profit will go through the roof......... edward=bella=4eternity

You are right this made my night too! I was thinking that more people would be seeing HSM3 because it's already the 3 movie, but NO! Poeple here are all for Twilight! WOW! So cool! People you all go watch it because if a lot of people don't watch it there is no 2nd movie!

I think HSM3 had it's fans and everything. I don't go crazy about it, but it's a movie with it's own fans.
