From the mind of “The Station Agent” director Tom McCarthy comes “The Visitor,” arriving in theaters April 18. In the film, a spark is ignited within a disillusioned college professor (Richard Jenkins) after he learns to play the African drums from a young man (Haaz Sleiman).

When are we going to start making movies that reflect real life? Of course I haven't seen the movie, yet, not even sure that I will actually. But judging from this trailer, I can already tell that this gets two African thumbs waaaay down from me. Instead of "The Visitor" , lets call it "The Thief". I mean just maybe, maybe one day, it will come to the minds of some of you filmmakers and producers to use truth in some roles, and not portray someone posing to know the history or culture of my people. You can not put on Afrikan culture if you have not the Afrikan blood in your veins. Would it have been so terrible to give an Afrikan man or woman the role?
Gimme a break!!
