Corey Feldman Premieres ‘Lost Boys 2’ Trailer, Fantasizes About Trilogy

Recently, Corey Feldman sat down for an extended chat with MTV News to discuss “Lost Boys: The Tribe”, the sequel to the 21-year-old cult smash that helped define his career, as well as premiere the film’s first trailer.

But if you’re geeking out at what Part II has to offer, wait’ll you get a load of what Feldman has in store for Part III, the actor teased, citing huge “potential” for the story to continue in a trilogy of films.

“The stage is set,” he said of the ending to “The Tribe.” “So it’s really up to you, the viewer, and you, the audience, to see that final chapter comes into fruition.”

While no official storyline has been discussed, Feldman says he’s got a slew of ideas for where to take the twisted, tragic tale of Edgar Frog – and, boy, does his dream plot have a Bite.

“What I would like to see? Personally the way I would like to see it go, I would like to see Edgar finally become a vampire himself and have to battle his own inner demons,” Feldman fantasized. “That’s where it should go in my mind.”

It’s an ending that Feldman insists would play to the dark side of the character, closing the coffin so to speak on his arc from brave young soldier to warrior of death.

“I think that part of the magic for the whole trilogy would be seeing those characters that you trust, that you love, turning to the dark side and figuring out if they could make their way back,” he mused. “For the guy who’s out there defending truth, justice, and the American way to be confronted with his own demons, and actually have to go down the path of the dark side - will he make it out? Or has he gone down so far that once he’s turned, there’s no hope, light? Who can save him? I mean, once Edgar Frog’s turned, anything’s possible.”

Including death, thinks Feldman. Would Edgar have to sacrifice himself to save mankind? Would he stab himself in the heart?

“You never know,” Feldman reasoned, a coy smile on his face. “Maybe his brother would have to do it for him – maybe Sam [Corey Haim].”

Find out what else Feldman had to say about “Lost Boys” here.

That is incredible! He looks and sounds exactly the same. I’m thrilled to see Corey Feldman have a home run like this.

Having a modern version of the Lost Boys theme just made it perfect. I can’t wait to see this!

THE LOST BOYS IS NOT ABOUT COREY FELDMAN NOR HIS CHARACTER!!!!!! Seriously people, Corey Feldman is a tool. he went ahead and ruined a cult classic movie by letting his napoleon complexed ego get in the way. This movie was never about “Edgar Frog” nor is it about jump starting (and that will never happen) Feldogs career. Trilogy? About Feldman becoming a Vampire? oh yeah, I wanna see “The Lost Boys 3 - The Edgar Frog diary”. WTF???? The trailer for LB2 SUCKS on top of it all. Is this a movie or a TV show like Buffy? I love all of you that think this movie is going to rule. You are all retarded.

Looks like the only bad thing about this movie is that Corey Feldman will be in it. He f*ed up the first movie with his appearance and now he is going to f* up this one to. Get a clue Feldman, your washed up, no one wants to see your lame ass in anymore movies. Thanks for Killing LB2!

The Lost Boys was my favorite horror movie growing up and i knew eventually they would discredit the movie by turning it into a “franchise”. The story was never meant to be centered on either Coreys character. I think the first movie would have been better without either of them. While i will watch the sequel to see how horrible it is, I wish they would at the least not invited either has been actors back to ruin it even more. And they shouldn’t have messed up the theme song by having some low rent idiot singing it.

I havent seen the new movie obviously, but had a differest/crazy idea today.Make a higher quality lost boys 3,but call it the lost boys 2,and use The Tribe as just sort of a filler movie(since it looks like its going to dvd).I have a story idea, but Im nobody,so Ill probably just type out my ideas and put them online.Maybe someone else with influence will see it and like it.I think it would definitely please the fans, without confusing new audiences.

I think if the second one is interesting, let them make a third. The trailer should have showed Alan Frog. Hopefully he is involved in the film as much as Feldman. Some people might think this looks dumb, but I’d bet it woud do okay in thearters. A lot of people want to see it happen. There is so mush s**t out now why would it matter. If there is a third and edgar is a vampire, lol, Alan should ask sam for help to kill his brother
