If it’s possible to create a riot in cyberspace, “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart may have done just that a few weeks ago, mentioning a scene in the upcoming movie in which “[Robert Pattinson as Edward] throws me over his back, right before he’s going to tell me that he’s a vampire, and then he runs over the treetops.”
Some 1,600 comments later, the debate rages on, over whether the scene strays too far from the book’s depiction. Naturally, when we landed the first-ever on-set “Twilight” interview with Stewart’s co-star Rachelle Lefevre, we had to get her thoughts on whether those treetops would be tweaking “Twilight” too much.
“There’s a scene where Edward reveals to Bella that he is a vampire, and he doesn’t just reveal that he’s a vampire, he reveals all that that encompasses,” Lefevre said of the script. “It’s almost a demonstration, and I think that scene is going to be amazing.”
The actress, who plays the vampire Victoria in the flick, added that the cast has spent the past few weeks training for such stunts. “I haven’t seen all of the stunts specifically, but I did see a setup of that while I was doing my wire work,” she revealed. “I would imagine that [Stewart's statement] is exactly what they are going to do.
“They’re talking like it’s really going to happen,” Lefevre added. “We did a rehearsal at one point where [director] Catherine [Hardwicke] was like, ‘They went up in the tree, but we’re not doing that today.’ I think we are really doing that.”
Before you post your comments below, Lefevre wants you to consider that the treetop-running thing does happen at other times in the “Twilight” series, even if not in the moment when Edward reveals himself.
“I think that there is a scene where a character ends up in a treetop in the book,” she explained. “I don’t want to say who, but there are treetop scenes in the book. But there are also things that are described in the book — the stunts that we are going to be doing, as far as I understand it, are very accurate to what’s in the book.
“You want to put as much action and excitement into the movie as possible,” Lefevre said of the controversy. “So sometimes things get heightened.”
So, twi-hards: What do you think?

IN ECLIPSE DURING THE FIGHT SCENE WITH EDWARD AND VICTORIA, THERE IS A MOMENT WHEN EDWARD PUSHES OFF OF THE TREES AND PROJECTS HIMSELF TOWARDS BELLA BECAUSE SHE HAS THE ROCK IN HER HAND LIKE SHE IS GOING TO STAB HERSELF. THAT IS WHEN SETH (THE WEREWOLF) WAS ACTING LIKE HE WAS HURT AND BELLA DIDN'T KNOW. IT ALL LEFT BELLA OPEN FOR AN ATTACK FROM VICTORIA AND THE OTHER VAMPIRE (CODY?) SO EDWARD HAD TO PUSH OFF OF THE TREETOPS TO ACCELERATE FAST ENOUGH TO GET TO HER SO SHE WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING CRAZY.
THERE YOU GO.
and i dont think im liking the whole "edward reveals himself as a vampre and what he can do" thing. i mean... thats just not the way it happens. they never like fully say that. its just understodd. they both know it, anf they both know that the other knows they know. if that made snse to anyone. i mean sure he does stuff later, but she already knows. its just sort of understood.
so he does stuff, but its not like hes proving anything. idk i just dont know if im going to like that very much.
the only thing that makes me like, ANGRY is this:
"Before you post your comments below, Lefevre wants you to consider that the treetop-running thing does happen at other times in the “Twilight” series, even if not in the moment when Edward reveals himself.
“I think that there is a scene where a character ends up in a treetop in the book,” she explained. “I don’t want to say who, but there are treetop scenes in the book."
okay the thing that gets me is that obviously this article was written toward twilight fans. if there was a scene like that in the books, we wouold know. but the fact of the matter is, is that there ISNT. thats the only part that really just aggravates me. yes im worried that my perfect twilight could be ruined if strayed too far, or that i wont like it, because i WANT to like it. but im just worried. ill have to wait and see. the thing that makes me post is that this actress says theres a scene like this. and there just isnt. the only tree tops mentioned is when edward comes through bellas window, but thats not a tree top SCENE. and the only other thing i can thnk of is in NEW MOON, not twilight, when jacob swings himself in through the window. but really, thats not what shes saying. no where in any of the three books is anyone running through treetops. it just doesnt happen. it just bothers me that she would be so insistent, when shes just dead wrong. honestly it doesnt even makes sense to me WHY they would go on the treetops to run, but WHATEVER. this totally isnt the time for that battle.
I'm very interested to see how this movie plays out... I do hope that there's great care taken in to making it... more... eh... well.. not one of those short, poor attempts to make money... I hope that the STORY is played out well... and that it IS followed by the book as best as possible!
As far as the actors chosen, I think now that I'm getting a better perspective of the cast, that they have been chosen wisely! ... I do hope the best for this movie! it's looking good so far!

Wait, so You haven't actually read the book? That seems to be the problem with so many movies that are based on books: no one creating the movie has read the book! I'm super excited for the movie, but I just hope it doesn't completely ruin the book.
I'm not particularly pleased on most of the casting; however, I'm happy to see that Rachelle Lefevre was selected. I knew I have seen her before but I couldn't think of where..And then it hit me... She was on my favorite show when I was little. BIG WOLF ON CAMPUS! ^_^
Anyway, I'm sure she can knock this role out of the park.

RANDOM: Oh, and I almost drop dead of excitement once I found out Robert Pattinson is Edward. Can it be more perfect?!
WOO! Cedric= Edward
1-there is no tree tops scene in the books, edward runs on the ground.
2-i dont think they should have edward tell bella for the same reason that vera mentioned, but also it would make bella look kinda stupid, that she couldnt figure it out.
3-i love the casting but i think they should trim "Jasper's" hair and dye alices hair black, it would add points to my fellow "twi-hards"lol
4-WHERE ARE THESE SIDES!?!?! I WANT THEM!!!plz post a link?plz?plzzz?
Rachel needs to stop acting like shes the hardcorest fan ever.
That NEVER happened in the book.
Ever.
This officially isnt Twilight.
its a random movie that i dont care about at all.
and P.S:
nobody likes the word Twi-hard.
Sounds like Quil's soulmate, a two year old, trying to pronounce "Try-hard".
Die-hard = Twi-hard
It's a good thing. Chill; breathe.
And for future reference; speak for yourself. I happen to believe that Twi-hard is about the best name for us fans that I have ever heard of. And since you don't seem to grasp the concept of it, I'll lay it out for you.
Have you ever heard of the term 'die-hard' fans. It basically means you are obsessed with whatever and love everything about it. In our case, it's Twilight. So, what is the conclusion?
Die-hard = Twi-hard.
but i really cant wait tilli vsn see the movie myself
