“Great. Amazing. About darn time.” I called the first trailer for “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” a lot of things when I wrote up my shot-by-shot analysis last week.
Last Friday, “Indy” co-star Shia LaBeouf told me I’d missed the most important one of all.
“It’s awesome,” he enthused from the set of his new film, “Eagle Eye.” “I’m just as much a fan [of it] as you are.”
Almost certainly more so, of course, given that he’s, you know, actually starring in the movie. In fact, when I told him I watched the trailer close to fifty times last Thursday (shot by shot!), LaBeouf admitted that he couldn’t watch it more than once or twice, as it got him too “excited.”
Now, like the rest of us, his excitement is growing as he waits to see the whole shebang.
“I’m part of the public now. [Spielberg’s] gonna do his cut, and George [Lucas] gets his cut. Now it’s just the releasing pattern,” he said, slightly dismayed.
“[But] I’m enjoying it like everyone else is,” he added, a wide grin across his face.
How about you? Did the filmmakers “Choose wisely” with their first trailer? Let us know what you think of “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” below.

The trailer was a blast for any Indiana Jones fan, but I felt that the pacing of the teaser was a little off, perhaps because it was edited specifically to fit the Raiders March in, but what a stellar way to introduce Indiana to people who’d never met him before!
Nevertheless, it sure is good to see Indy again.
