Hollywood’s take on Stephanie Meyer’s bestselling book series “Twilight” has now rounded out some of its biggest casting…that of the Cullen family, the mainstay of the blockbuster vampire franchise. Peter Facinelli (”Six Feet Under”), Elizabeth Reaser (”Grey’s Anatomy”), Jackson Rathbone (”The O.C.”), Ashley Greene (”King of California”) and Kellan Lutz (”Stick It”), alongside the previously revealed Nikki Reed and Robert Pattinson, have been confirmed by MTV News as the stars who will make up Forks’ first family. In addition, the photo of the group in costume is the first image revealed from the film, which is currently shooting in the Portland, Oregon, area.

Also, I agree with Enia, Jasper's hair threw me. It stinks that now I can't remember what I use to imagine him as because now I only see this actor.
but then again, ive always dramatized them in my head.
i think they've done an okay-job.
as long as they look supernatural, dont-even-fantasize-about-me, untouchable and overwhelmingly beautiful in the movie, im happy.

Edward in some pictures, at some angles, is o k a y . Somewhat because he sort of has that TYPE of appearance naturally, but not the breath-taking dark-sided Edward at all. I also pictured [the book even said bronze]
- but - more copperish reddish laced through Edward's hair. Somewhat of a naturally "messy/ruffled" style, but orderly and beautiful nonetheless.
I just went searching for other ideas of who would be a good Edward Cullen, and I immediately agreed with this as better than anything I've seen. He's truly great.

Bella -- that's definitely not her.
I thought Alice's hair was black? And shorter/more pixie-cut. Also, I pictured her smaller and more petite herself.
I won't go on, but I just despise the cast because they could have chosen better fitting actors. Of course the ACTING part is essential, and not going insane over appearances - I'm honestly not so crazy about many of the actors' natural..way and presense, nor acting - but many of us fans don't want it to become a movie frankly because they can't turn something so beautiful into a worthy movie. We also don't want to picture different, already existant faces when we think about the characters. So it's essential to have characters that fit the part in all ways. When I see Bella, I don't want to see the actor from 'The Messengers', but purely: Bella, preferrably an unknown actor. If she looked the part though, I wouldn't be as concerned.

i think that there are so many more actors that need this movie to get a carrer going and there using someone that
1) DOES NOT look anything like edward, i think he should cut his hair...
2) is already known and he will never get out of peoples minds as the guy from harry potter!
but i guess theres nothing we can do about it now.

Rosalie: she's certainly pretty, and I think shes *almost* right. Her hair's supposed to be "gently waving to the middle of her back"--in my imagination, she ended up with very straight hair, but still long; it's not long enough here!
Esme: hmm...appearance wise, she's okay. She's supposed to be "less angular, more rounded", but her face is too defined! Otherwise...I hope I can take her seriously. I keep hearing the voice of the bumbling resident from Grey's Anatomy when I look at her!
Carlisle: TOO OLD!!!!!!!! He's 35, and he looks even older here. "Carlisle can barely pass for 30," says Edward, and Bella was "struck by his youth, his outrageous perfection." Hrm... he's also not "more handsome than any movie star."
Alice: I was surprised at first, but I've grown to love it. I pictured her hair shorter, more boyish, but now I realise that "cropped short and pointing in every direction" applies to this hairstyle too. The HUGE problem: her hair's supposed to be deep black!
Jasper: The hair's all wrong! It's too light--supposed to be "honey blonde"--and...I don't know, I can't put my finger on it, and, of course, while staring at the picture, I can't picture my made-up Jasper at all!

Edward!: When they cast Robert Pattinson as Edward, I was VERY disappointed. I didn't think he'd work at all, and that he'd just remind me a lot of Cedric Diggory. However, they've done an EXCELLENT job with him!! It's almost right! I've never been able to get a very clear picture of Edward in my head (actually, I keep picturing someone more stereotypical-vampire-like, with dark hair...like Victor Krum actually, even though that's completely off), but he'll certainly do well now!
All in all, I'm only disappointed with Carlisle--and maybe Esme, depending on how good an actress she is.
I see him as this perfect figure and not many mortal men could acomplish that, so let's see how he does
I don't know about everyone else, but this picture of the family worries me
It looks so corny, like the cast from an ABC Family television series
I hope the movie holds up to the book and doesn't stray an inch...

It would be interesting to see the series in action. I hope the actors do them justice.
I just thought that James and Laurent SHOULD have cropped hair and Jacob should have his hair in a ponytail. It sucks that authors don't get to have their way when their stories come alive in the silverscreen. They have every right to intercede since they created them.
AND, I am grateful that MTV didn't get to produce the movie because Bella wouldn't be Bella and her being blonde would make fans crazy with fury.
