As one of the lead actors on “The Simpsons,” voice actor Hank Azaria has certainly had plenty of success creating commanding vocal performances. His greatest struggles in the new film “Chicago 10″ then, weren’t so much in creating voices but, as the actor admitted to MTV News, in “re-creating” them.
“I knew my job was to sound as much like Abbie Hoffman and Allen Ginsberg as I could,” he said. “With their voices in the actual film, the idea was to get it as close to 100 percent accurate as I could. For me it was mostly audience tapes. I spent a few weeks practicing.” Read more…

What is “Quantum of Solace”? James Bond screenwriter Paul Haggis might not have any idea, but if MGM was kind enough to cc him on their latest press release, the Oscar-winner will gain a drool-inducing insight into the film’s plot, right alongside the rest of us.
Below is the spankin’ new, studio-approved plot summary of Bond’s 22nd flick. Does it leave you shaken, or stirred? Oh, and at the risk of sounding like a cheesy guy in an IROC is driving past us: “Spoiler alert!” Read more…

If you think getting to your office is a grind, you should try working on the U.S.S. Enterprise joked “Star Trek” co-star Bruce Greenwood, who is set to assume the role of original Starfleet captain Christopher Pike in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming reboot.
“I can’t tell you anything! I gotta stop talking to you. Don’t ask me anymore questions!” the veteran actor laughed on the blue carpet at the Independent Spirit Awards, where he was being honored for his work in the Bob Dylan biopic “I’m Not There.”
“The disclosure agreement is like, THAT thick,” he added, holding his arms six inches apart, before lifting his jacket over his head and wrapping his face in his coat. “We go to the set like this. I’m not kidding…that’s all we can do!” Read more…

Jason Bateman looked adorable as ever on the red carpet at last Sunday’s Oscars, but the “Juno” star may have been feeling a little self-conscious about his hair. “He’s a weirdo with blonde highlights,” Bateman rushed, when asked to explain his character Dominic Foy in “State of Play,” which is currently filming — hence, the Seacrest-esque blonde tips.
As fans of the BBC miniseries on which the flick is based, we are tickled by the casting of Bateman as Mr. Foy, a sleazy weasel prone to gaudy fashion staples like fur coats and tinted glasses. If only his character’s fashion cues had affected Bateman’s red carpet duds as well as his ‘do. Read more…

Considering it was an adaptation of an 18-year-old television show, “The Simpsons Movie” has to be viewed as a somewhat surprising success. Given that success, though, it should be no surprise that they’re already working on a sequel.
“I think a fun format for the next ‘Simpsons’ movie would be a ‘Treehouse of Horror’ feature,” voice star Hank Azaria offered. “That might be fun. It’d be fun to do three fantasy or horror stories.”
Whether that’s the path the filmmakers ultimately go down remains to be seen, of course. But Azaria’s got another suggestion he feels much more adamantly about. Hank Azaria demands, well, more Hank Azaria. Read more…

Last year at the Independent Spirit Awards, Aaron Eckhart spilled the beans on Harvey Dent, telling MTV News that the key to his performance was in finding “the tension…the similarities” between Batman and Two-Face. This year, he told us what he found.
“Well, they’re both crime fighters,” he said. “They both care about law and order. They both care about Gotham City. Although they come from different backgrounds, they share certain things. Pausing, he added, “[Things that] I cannot tell you about.”
Anybody who’s ever read a “Batman” comic book knows what some of those things are – admitting them would be a non-spoiler spoiler, akin to saying Harry Potter and Voldemort are both orphans. If you’re familiar at all with the source material, chances are you know this already. Read more…

If it’s possible to create a riot in cyberspace, “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart may have done just that a few weeks ago, mentioning a scene in the upcoming movie in which “[Robert Pattinson as Edward] throws me over his back, right before he’s going to tell me that he’s a vampire, and then he runs over the treetops.”
Some 1,600 comments later, the debate rages on, over whether the scene strays too far from the book’s depiction. Naturally, when we landed the first-ever on-set “Twilight” interview with Stewart’s co-star Rachelle Lefevre, we had to get her thoughts on whether those treetops would be tweaking “Twilight” too much.
“There’s a scene where Edward reveals to Bella that he is a vampire, and he doesn’t just reveal that he’s a vampire, he reveals all that that encompasses,” Lefevre said of the script. “It’s almost a demonstration, and I think that scene is going to be amazing.” Read more…

Ever since James Cameron announced that “Avatar” would be his next project, fans of the director have been feverishly searching for hints and clues to the film’s plot.
Perhaps this whole time we’ve been looking in the wrong place.
Meaning that maybe instead of looking at the director’s previous sci-fi epics, we should be looking at the director himself, suggested co-star Sigourney Weaver. Read more…

Please, ladies. Don’t cry. Ever since we posted our latest Zac Efron “High School Musical” story, devoted fans of the hit TV flicks have been disconcerted over the news that the golden boy is hanging up his dancing shoes.

It’s only fitting that one of Hollywood’s biggest institutions, Martin Scorsese, would get together with one of music’s. Witness “Shine a Light,” the Scorsese-helmed Rolling Stones concert film. “Intern” as a title doesn’t usually get you very far — maybe down the street to Starbucks for a coffee run. But not so at MTV News; I received the assignment of a lifetime Sunday night when I got to assist with coverage of the 80th Annual Academy Awards.
I couldn’t show up in my usual intern attire of jeans and a hoodie, so I resurrected a favorite turquoise dress that I hadn’t worn since my sister’s birthday party last year. I also took the opportunity to hit Macy’s for makeup; my personal rule is that dramatic eyes are best left to professionals, especially for events as major as the Oscars. I rocked my usual hairstyle: straight, blonde, bangs. My look worked well, I think, though I’m relieved that I won’t have to endure a verdict from Us Weekly. Read more…
