Adam Brody Can’t Outrun the Justice League of America

We’ve heard of fast rising stars, but this is getting ridiculous.

27-year-old Adam Brody is going from the Land of Women to the Hall of Justice, as the former television star has closed negotiations to play The Flash in George Miller’s “Justice League of America” movie, the “LA Times” reports. The version of the Flash seen in “JLA” will be Wally West, nephew to original Flash Barry Allen, whose death is rumored to open the upcoming flick.

But what, oh what, could this possibly mean for poor Ryan Reynolds? It means, almost certainly, that his dream of playing the Flash is all but dead, as David Dobkin previously revealed exclusively to MTV News that his upcoming spin-off would exist in the “Justice League” universe. While no confirmation has been made to that effect, it probably means Brody has signed onto one or more solo films as well.

When contacted for comment by MTV, a Warner Brothers representative echoed statements made earlier to The Times, saying that the film hasn’t yet even been greenlit.

Think fast! Is Brody the guy you want to see as Wally West? What other actors would compliment his casting? What does this mean for upcoming solo films? Sound off below!

  1. To me, it's all just going to be "dudes standing around Wonder Woman."
  2. It should be Ryan Reynolds, not even a question. Adam Brody will be ok, but RR fits the bill in many ways.
  3. I Think Ryan Reynolds is the best man suited to play Wally West. Maybe could I see Adam Brody as Kyle's Green Lantern, but no way could I EVER see him as Wally.I am not liking how this JlA movie is being so randomly cast, like some high school play. I am not impressed with the suposed selection of Batman. About the only way I could have gotten around not having Bale in this film would have been if the had cast Routh as Superman and Reynolds as the Flash AKA Wally West. While I was liking the plot of the movie that is circulating, I think their cast selection will turn this movie into a flop. Only Charactor I think that has been rightfully cast is Wonder Woman.
    Lets hope im wrong
  4. Ryan Reynolds could still play Barry Allen as the Flash before he gets killed.
Common is playing the GREEN LANTERN
  5. Adam Brody would be a great Green Lantern or Green Arrow but Reynolds definitely IS Wally West, attitude, looks, and all.
  6. The guy is annoying. He just talks but is annoying. need someone with the charisma and fun of Michael Rosenbaum's Wally from the JLA cartoons. Yeah yeah Wally has reddish hair but i'm more concerned how annoying this guy is.
  7. ADAM BRODY AS KYLE RAYNER??? WTF? Have you guys even seen Kyle Rayner? Kyle is supposed to be the cool looking superhero, the one into art and indie music. Even Parallax calls him "pretty boy". does that look like Brody. No. Don't offend Kyle Rayner.
  8. Adam Brody can pull it off, no question. He has the talent and depth to pull off whatever they ask of him and the overlaying humor to make it a lot of fun. This is good news.
  9. Adam Brody is the biggest star of the JLA movie. When you first heard of this movie, did you ever think you would hear that phrase? The casting is so random and retarded, full of D-listers from direct-to-dvd fare. The executives behind this need to be fired, then run out of town. Where the hell is Welling, Reynolds, Biel, and Tyrese? They were all rumored to have been cast, at one point. That was a solid B-list cast, affordable, and appropriate for their parts. Fans were excited. Now we're left with D-listers appropriate for late night infomercials.
  10. i think that justice league is ging to take more time than expected they should cast michael jackson to play the flash because we cannot wait anymore.
  11. This movieis gona be so FREAKING AWSOME!!!!! bt i think adam would make a better Green Arrow than the Flash though. I mean in the pic adam even looks like the Green Arrow! Just give him green arrows and some tights and we're good to go!
    LOL!XD
  12. Ryan Reynolds would be good, but Tyler Hilton is cocky enough to play Flash. Adam Brody? I don't think so.
  13. Messi
I Take it your a big GL fan. When I said I could see him as Kyle, I ment as Kyle is shown in Emerald Twilight/ New Dawn. Even for Kyle, Brody would still be my very last choice. Brody as Wally..WTF. I REALLY REALLY REALLY Hope this move is not Greenlit like Jack Black's GL was never lit and the next time around they get a REAL CASTING DIRECTOR with some REAL ACTORS and not a bunch of D-listers casted by someones retarted cousin. I stillthink the only propperly casted charactor is Wonder Woman
  14. Personally I think Ryan Reynolds would be a perfect Flash, no matter which one. However, the fact still remains that it's the Justice League. Meaning that it's about the group and not about the individuals.
Because I totally agree with Doug. This movie is casted like a highschool play. Why are they casting a superman that looks like superboy (Scott Potter)? What really mifs me is that when you put 28 year old Scott Potter, next to 31 year old Ryan Reynolds, Reynolds looks alot more mature (manly) than Potter. That's most likely the reason why they didn't cast Reynolds as the Flash, which is a total lost, because Reynolds would be a better choice, and it would force the casting director to look for a "manly" Superman.
  15. Adam Brody I thnk wud be a gr8 choice although Ryan Reynolds would be good too!
  16. Some of you are living in a FOOL'S paradise if you still think J. Beil could have been Wonder Woman. - No hips, no physical beauty, no talent. As for the Flash, Ryan get s my vote
  17. Well too bad Ryan´s probably not gonna play the flash, but does maybe he´ll play a different character?

BTW I heard rumors about him playing deadpool (marvel)?
  18. I could only hope to God that Reynolds would play The Flash in a Flash dedicated movie.
  19. thats wack and thoes actors do not fill none of those characters , Im tried of casting picking wrong people for parts for comic movies it stupid
  20. I think they should keep BATMAN & SUPERMAN how it is... With Christian Bale & Brandon Routh in the roles as BATMAN & SUPERMAN! Don't you???
I Feel if us fan keep talkin about it they might do sumthin' about?? who's wit me?
