After questioning the man about his role as Bob Dylan in "I'm Not There," and the Joker in "The Dark Knight," the next Heath Ledger project that we wanted to know about is "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus," a fantasy which will reunite the 28-year-old actor with director Terry Gilliam.
"That's just going to be a hoot," Ledger smiled. "It's going to be fun!"
So what is it about? "Terry couldn't even tell you what the movie is about," Ledger laughed. "It's mind-bending. I really don't know how to sum it up."
Ok, fine, here's how IMDB sums it up: "A traveling theater company gives its audience much more than they were expecting." Succinct. To the point. Totally irrelevant to Ledger, he said. The darn thing could quite literally be about anything at all and it wouldn't matter to the Oscar-nominated thesp so long as Gilliam was behind the camera.
"I love Terry. I'd really do anything for him," Ledger insisted. "I'd cut carrots and serve catering on his movies."
Co-starring Christopher Plummer and Tom Waits, "Imaginarium" is slated to open in 2009.
Maybe YOU can tell me what it's about? Please? Sound off on the project below.
