During a career portraying some 75 film and TV characters, actor Tobin Bell has kept extensive journals detailing the off-camera minutiae in every one of their lives. Some might see it as obsessive; to him, it's simply the proper way to do his job. Now, on the eve of this month's "Saw IV" release, the star of the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time is revealing his Jigsaw journals for the first time, exclusively to MTV News.
TODAY'S ENTRY: From Bell's "Saw II" journal, titled "What's on John's Mind"

Bell explains: "The 'bully' line is talking about Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg). Jigsaw has thirty or forty key beliefs - this is just one day in his mind. I read the script for 'Saw II' three weeks before we started to film ... at some point in time, this page was empty and I was sitting in a café in Toronto, and I just wrote 'Liars and Hypocrites'. Then I thought 'What are the f-cking things that move him? What's on his mind, right now?"
