What do Hercules and Alexander the Great have in common with Jessica Biel? They’re all strong-willed individuals who throughout history have found it in themselves to turn down an Amazonian Princess.
Three days after reporting that Biel was in talks to star as Wonder in George Miller’s upcoming “Justice League” movie, Entertainment Weekly reports today that the 25-year-old “Illusionist” star has passed on the project. She would have been the first thesp to officially sign onto the ensemble film; in addition to Wonder Woman, “JLA” is still lacking actors for the roles of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman (and his fish).
Which means, actually, a whole lot of fun for those of us interested in making our own casting suggestions. My colleague Larry Carroll weighed in yesterday with his picks for “JLA,” and I’ll be back later with my own, but in the meantime why don’t we concentrate on Wonder Woman? Now that Biel has passed (and, keep in mind, oh ye of little memory, that Kate Beckinsale has as well), who would you want donning the star-spangled spandex? Sound off below…

I grew up watching wonder woman, I was one of those little girls running around with a towel for a cape and a piece of rope for a whip. All I can say is this is the best thing to happen, Beil doesn’t look or act like wonder woman. They need someone with more ummm…..bust…hips….curves, thats the word. Oh and she has to be drop dead gorgeous, not just ho-hum. Maybe the chick off of Transformers would be good, she’s got the rockin body, brown hair & natural blue eyes. Not a bad actress either!

I’m kinda glad that she passed. She just doesn’t have that “Wonder Woman” vibe to me. I’m honestly at a loss as to who should pay Wonder Woman, no one’s coming to mind. They should just figuring out how to build a “de-aging” machine and cast Lynda Carter.

If anyone watched the Wonder Woman series with Lynda Carter, then the choices should be obvious. You are looking for a tall woman with a strong build. A few years ago, Terry Farrell would have been perfect; she could still pull it off today. I think someone should screen test Monica Bellucci or even actress who plays the new Bionic Woman. I know the movie will need some star power, but maybe a new face is needed.

First of all Jessica Biel is a mediocre actress.
She doesn’t have a nice body, she has a big muscle butt, and that’s about it. Biel does not have one lick of natural stunning beauty in her face…unless you consider huge fake vaneers and puffed up colligen lips pretty.

There is a Santa Claus. Biel was a aweful choice. Nadia Bjorlin is the best choice. She looks the part and would be a Wonder Woman for the ages. Like Lynda Carter. Too right Jessica Biel is a bad choice - SHE’S TOO GOOD FOR THE ROLE. Most comic book adapations are utter crap, if you expect big names to sign on - don’t! As they’re not even expecting to get the two current names who are playing Superman and Batman (i.e. Routh and Bale), this film is sure to fail. Anyone who doesn’t have a career to ruin should be queueing up in the casting line for this film.

I think Angelina Jolie, after gaining some muscle weight, would be perfect for wonder woman. I think Tom Welling, he plays superman in the tv show smallville, would be perfect for the role of superman.. for obvious reasons.
