Lisa Simpson (otherwise known as Yeardley Smith) -- currently starring in the big-screen adaptation of her family's wacky adventures -- has a message for you, yes you, the readers of the MTV Movies Blog. Click below to watch.

Paul Rudd can do no wrong in my book. Sure he's great at the acting thing, knocking it out of the park in films like "Knocked Up" and "The Ten" (opening this Friday). But I'm really talking about interviews where he never fails to prove that he's one of the wittiest guys out there. My recent conversation with Mr. Rudd didn't fail to meet my lofty expectations. You can watch the whole Paul Rudd interview here, and see him explain why he hates condiments and feels like a junkie for playing fantasy baseball.

Then there's the clip below where Paul tells me about the part he wants to play in "Indiana Jones IV." Let the campaigning begin!

Wesley SnipesIt's been 25 years since jazz legend Thelonious Monk left behind an impressive body of work (classics like "Round Midnight" and "Blue Monk" are probably best known). Of course in an age when music biopics like "Ray" and "Walk the Line" earn multiple Oscar nods and solid money at the box office, it's no surprise that Monk's life would be attractive fodder for the big screen.

Enter "El Cantante" director Leon Ichaso. No stranger to films about dynamic musicians ("El Cantante" tells the story of Salsa singer Hector Lavoe), Ichaso wants to follow up his Jennifer Lopez/Marc Anthony flick with a film about the storied Jazz man with that oh so memorable name. And he's already got a leading man in mind. Ichaso told MTV News, "I know who I would like. I would love it if Wesley Snipes would do it."

When pressed, the director admits he has talked to Snipes a bit about the project (the two collaborated on "Sugar Hill" in 1994). Read more...

'The Dark is Rising'John Hodge is an Oscar-nominated screenwriter best known for his collaborations with Danny Boyle on "Trainspotting" and "Shallow Grave." His latest film is the ambitious fantasy "The Dark is Rising." In an exclusive piece for MTV below, Hodge explains why he took on the project.

I wasn't going to do "The Dark Is Rising." It's not that I dislike fantasy but I wouldn't class myself as a devotee. The Potter books and films are obviously very good (that many people can't be wrong) but nothing is for everyone and they don't do it for me. But then I got to thinking about the story of DIR and it seems to me that the fantasy is not what it's about. It's about a boy finding his place in a large family, or more than that, starting to think about his place in the adult world in general. And once I found that perspective, I really wanted to do it. Steve MartinNormally known as a leading man in movies like "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "The Pink Panther," legendary comedian Steve Martin hasn't appeared in a non-starring movie role since 1986's "Little Shop of Horrors." "Saturday Night Live" mastermind Lorne Michaels told us, however, that all that is about to change.

"We have a movie that Tina [Fey], Amy [Poehler] and Dax Shepard, Greg Kinnear, Steve Martin and a bunch of others are in called 'Baby Mama,'" Michaels said of the flick, which has developed into something of an "SNL" reunion. "That movie should be coming out in the spring."

The film stars Fey as a busy single gal who hires Poehler's character to be a surrogate mother. The in-production flick features Kinnear as the local hunk who sparks up a romance with Fey, while "ER" veteran Maura Tierney has been cast as Fey's supportive sister, a mother of two. The comedy also features Sigourney Weaver and Romany Malco, but it's Martin's rare supporting performance that seems destined to be the stand-out. Read more...

From the halls of the now-shuttered San Diego Comic-Con, we bring you the limited-edition movie poster for "Hellboy 2” illustrated by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

If you're a fan of "Wet Hot American Summer" (and if you're not, just keep moving along because we're done) then you know and appreciate the work of David Wain. This Friday, his latest directing effort "The Ten" opens up, boasting a cast of everyone from Winona Ryder and Adam Brody to Paul Rudd and Liev Schreiber. If you're in New York, Wain and friends have a cool-sounding comedy and music show you might want to check out.

But in the meanwhile, take a gander at what David did for us. We've been sending him your questions and he's been recording his answers for you via webcam (to watch his previous episodes, click here). In this final installment, he gives advice on how to combat boredom, discusses his political platform, and dances up a storm.

'Night at the Museum'Comic-Con may be over but the movie news keeps coming. In today's edition, casting news on Cameron Diaz and Keira Knightly, a great passes away, and a legend may have retired from acting.

- Cameron Diaz faces off against her own daughter in "My Sister's Keeper." Sounds cheery. (Variety)

- Kevin Smith will helm "Heroes" episode. FCC, you've been warned. (TV Squad)

Matt DamonIf Matt Damon could be said to have a specialty, it's in playing characters who aren't necessarily what they seem: the janitor who's actually a super-genius, the charming extrovert who happens to be a homicidal maniac, the police officer whose true allegiance lies with the Boston Mob. If you think those guys are duplicitous, the Oscar-winner grinned, wait'll you get a load of his next character, Mark Whitacre.

"This one [is more two-faced] than ever before," Damon said, smiling.

Whitacre is the central character in "The Informant," a movie Damon and director Steven Soderbergh have "been trying to get made for years," he said (information on the movie, scattered across the internet, began popping up in 2003), but which the pair will finally begin filming "starting April 15th," Damon revealed.
